The HomeNorth Xtra range of loans include:
HomeNorth Shared Equity Loan
The HomeNorth Xtra Shared Equity Loan is designed to help low to middle income Territorians who can't afford to buy a home by themselves. You can buy between 70% and 99% of a property, with the Northern Territory Government purchasing the remainder.
HomeNorth Standard Variable Loan
The HomeNorth Xtra Standard Variable Loan is designed to help low to middle income Territorians who have difficulty raising a deposit to enter home ownership in the Northern Territory. The loans can be used to buy a property or contract a builder to construct a new property. The Scheme is not available to owner-builders who want to build their own property.
HomeNorth Fee Assistance Loan
The HomeNorth Xtra Fee Assistance Loan is designed to help Territorians buy or build a home in the Northern Territory by providing them with an interest free loan. The loan may also be used to help with the deposit. Up to $1,500 can be used to buy white goods for your new home.
HomeNorth Public Housing Sales
This program is an initiative of the Northern Territory Government that enables eligible tenants of public housing to apply to purchase their home. Tenants purchasing a home through HomeNorth Xtra have the opportunity to buy between 70% and 100% of the property.
