Security
Securing your personal details, funds and account information is the most important feature of TIO's Online Banking system. You can help us protect your information by following the security guidelines below:
Online Banking provides security measures to protect your banking details
- All transactions on Internet Banking are encrypted using 128 bit SSL encryption
- Our Sign on page is unable to be cached.
- Automatic time out period. We recommend that you do not leave your computer unattended when logged into Online Banking. Online banking will log off after a period of time where there has been no activity.
- Lockout. To prevent someone from trying to guess your Password, access to Online Banking will be blocked after a number of unsuccessful logon attempts.
- Details of last logon. To confirm that there has been no unauthorised access to your account, when you logon to Online Banking you will see the date and time of your last visit and the details of your last online transaction.
Protect your Sign-on & Password
- Change your password regularly (we recommend you change your password monthly).
- Choose a password that is hard to guess. Do not choose a Password that is based on your date of birth or an alphabetical code that is a recognisable part of your name.
- Never reveal your password to anyone.
- Do not write your password down.
- Notify TIO immediately if you become aware that your password has become known or used by someone else.
