When you do your banking with TIO's Online Banking, we have security measures in place designed to protect your transactions. You will be protected against unauthorised transactions carried out on your account as a result of using TIO's Online Banking where you have complied with the TIO Online Banking Terms and Conditions of Use and it is clear that you have not contributed to the loss.

Fees and Charges for Online Banking
TIO's Online Banking is free of transaction charges.

Recommended System Settings
TIO Online Banking is available to both Apple Macintosh® users and Microsoft Windows® users.
It is a browser-based service with compatible browsers being:
- Internet Explorer version 6.0 or later
- Netscape version 6.0 or later
- Firefox version 1.0 or later
A connection to the Internet through an Internet Service Provider (ISP) is required.
A screen resolution of 800 x 600 or greater will provide the best viewing.
Frequently asked questions about Online Banking
How can I prevent access to my account?
You can only access your account after registering. If you are not registered, your account will not be accessible through Online Banking. If you are registered and would like to cancel this service contact us and we will arrange to have your registration cancelled.
Can I change my password?
Yes, select the 'change password' option that appears under the 'Other' option on the the top navigation menu. You will need to enter your existing password and the new password you would like to use. We recommend you change your password on a regular basis.
What do I do if I have forgotten or misplaced my password?
If you have forgotten or misplaced your password simply phone us on 1300 301 833 during business hours and request your password to be reset. When you next login to Online Banking you will be requested to change your password.
What format should my new password be in?
Passwords can be made up of either alpha and numeric characters or a combination of both, and must contain a minimum of six characters and a maximum of eight characters.
What details do I need to make a payment or transfer to another person's (or business') account?
You will need the following information to make a payment to another person's (or business') account at TIO or another financial institution in Australia.
If you want to make a transfer to an account (except for credit cards), you will need the:
- BSB number (this identifies the bank and outlet of the person you wish to pay and must be exactly six digits in length)
- account number of the person you wish to pay (this must be numeric)
- account name of the person you wish to pay.
If you want to make a payment to a MasterCard or Visa Card at another Australian financial institution, you will need to use BPAY for these payments. You will need the:
- BPAY® Biller code of the institution from which the account is held
- the Customer Reference Number for the account you wish to pay.
Is there a limit to how much I can transfer using TIO Internet Banking?
Yes, a "daily transfer limit" of $4,000 applies per account for Online Banking. You can make arrangements to have your daily limit increased or decreased, please contact us during business hours.
How many days does it take for a payment or transfer to reach another bank?
Transferring funds between your own TIO accounts occurs immediately.
Transfers to accounts with other Australian financial institutions are processed overnight. As long as the transfer is completed before the cut-off time of 2:00 pm Australian Eastern Standard Time, funds at the other institution will usually be available the next business day (depending on the institution).
Can I set up a periodic payment?
Yes. You can create a periodic bill payment or funds transfer at any time using TIO Online Banking.
